Chocolates, Flowers and Big, Beautiful Smiles

Feb 20, 2020

This month of February is known as the month of love all because of February 14. Valentine’s Day is a special day for couples (and for singles trying to become a couple). We wanted to help both couples and singles by taking a little poll to see what women prefer for Valentine’s Day: chocolates or flowers?

We posted the poll on all four of our Facebook pages with all of our dentists holding flowers and chocolates (the photos are hilarious). We received more than 350 votes! The final results were in favor of flowers over chocolates. The final votes were very close for each office, except for the Cypress office (75 percent voted for flowers). Here were the final vote results (some voted in the comments section, so we have added those to the final results):

Memorial - 61 flowers and 49 chocolates

Cypress - 38 flowers and 13 chocolates

Brenham - 59 flowers and 45 chocolates

Bellville - 52 flowers and 41 chocolates

Total Votes for Flowers: 210

Total Votes for Chocolates: 148

So now you know, gentlemen. Good horse sense will tell you to pick both, but if you can only choose one for Valentine’s Day, pick flowers.

Did you take the chance to win a Date Night on us? If not, it’s all the more reason to be sure you follow us on Facebook and Instagram for future things like that. We love showing the love to our patients, so we offered our social media followers an opportunity to have their next Date Night on us simply by commenting what their ideal date would be. Interestingly enough, there were numerous who preferred to spend the evening indoors with their significant other: pjs, popcorn, movie. We did, however, have someone mention Paris (not Paris, Texas). Oui! Oui!

The winners of our Date Night contest were:

Memorial - Mayra Callejas (Instagram)

Cypress - Cindy Theut (Facebook)

Brenham - Macey Tidwell (Facebook)

Bellville - Micah Griffin (Instagram)

Congratulations! We hope you enjoy your date nights out on us.

If you haven’t checked out the Facebook and Instagram post, we took some beautiful photos of Dr. Jessica Shimek, of our Houston office, and her husband. If anything, those photos could be used as a form of inspiration for your next date.

It’s always fun to engage with our patients, especially since we have the best dental patients around. Next month will be a lot of fun too, so stay tuned for what we’ll be doing (hint is above).

We hope the new year has been treating you well and that you are enjoying a healthy and beautiful smile. If you haven’t received a dental cleaning in the past six months, that is something you should consider doing sooner rather than later. Also, let your friends and family know that they are always welcome at any of our four dental offices in Memorial, Cypress, Brenham, and Bellville. While you’re at it, point them toward our Facebook and Instagram pages.
