For Dr. JD Folz, good dentistry starts with a simple philosophy: treat people first, teeth second. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Folz attended The Ohio State University, where he earned both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

Having personally experienced his fair share of dental treatment over the years, Dr. Folz understands what it feels like to be on the other side of the chair. That perspective shapes the way he practices today. He knows the dental office can sometimes feel confusing or overwhelming, so he takes the time to listen, explain the “what” and “why” behind treatment, and make sure his patients feel comfortable making decisions about their care. He especially enjoys general dentistry and the opportunity it gives him to help everyday people solve everyday dental problems.

Outside the office, Dr. Folz enjoys lifting weights, combat sports, and building Legos. He’s also a talented artist, a creative side that might surprise many of his patients.
