State-Of-The-Art Computers and High Resolution Monitors
Since we make it a priority to use the most proven and up-to-date technology to provide quality care, we’ve invested in a state-of-the-art computer system and placed high-resolution monitors in each operatory.
The chairside image allows us to look together at an incredibly precise, magnified view of your mouth, ascertaining your health status and detecting any problems. Often we'll uncover a situation that may have otherwise gone unnoticed, such as a cavity that needs more than just a filling. The high-resolution image reveals this difference, and the system provides us with the needed documentation to help support insurance reimbursement.
Our computer system helps us manage our patient information. We can schedule your next appointment and set up reminders chairside.. Our goal is eventually to have a paperless office, with our computers handling charting, filing, appointments, reminders, and many other aspects of our practice. For our patients, this means having a complete file of information required to make treatment decisions… only a click away.

Digital Radiography
We're always concerned about how we look. At least, how we look into your mouth. That's why we're so excited about our new dental imaging process called digital radiography. This technology allows us to look into your mouth, clearly identify every external and internal anatomical structure, and accurately diagnose your dental problems…all within seconds and with minimal radiation exposure. But what's even more amazing, is that the information we discover is immediately translated into a large, clear, accurate image on the computer monitor next to your chair, so that we can discuss the findings together.
In order to gather information for analysis and treatment decisions, we used to take a series of x-rays, develop them in a darkroom full of chemicals, and examine the resulting films on a light board. But with digital radiography, this entire process is simplified and the results improved. All that's required is for you to relax in your chair while we position a tiny 'sensor' briefly in your mouth. This sensor functions like a miniature VCR camera, with a chip that's sensitive to x-rays rather than to light.
Immediately, a highly detailed image appears on the adjacent computer screen, with all the conveniences of other digitized images: it can be rotated, magnified, adjusted for contrast, and even color-coded for educational purposes. When we're finished, we simply store it efficiently in our computer files, eliminating paper files as well as image wear and tear. For insurance purposes, referrals, or patient education, it can be easily, inexpensively and faithfully reproduced any number of times. And as an added benefit, our patients receive 50%-90% less radiation exposure than with traditional x-ray techniques.

Together, we can examine the outer and inner structures and tissues of each tooth, as well as the surrounding roots, root canals, and gums. What may have previously been mysterious and frightening is suddenly rendered reasonable and non-threatening. On the spot, we're able to clearly and simply explain all the steps of any recommended restorative procedures. So we can treat you better than ever before.
Intra Oral Cameras
Our high resolution intra oral cameras record your dental exam and provide full color photographs and computer monitor displays of any dental problem. This Hi-Tech camera is about the size of a pen. You can actually see your present dental status and have a complete, visual understanding of the suggested dental treatment.
High-Tech Sterilization
When it comes to maintaining sterile hygiene methods, we believe that little things matter. Whether you're in for a regular checkup or a more complex procedure, we’ve implemented a wide variety of measures to protect you from health hazards so you can be healthy, comfortable, and confident about your dental experience.
So while gloves, masks, and careful handling are all a natural part of our routine, we've also invested in a state-of-the-art "Steri-Center". Here, we sterilize all instruments in an autoclave after each use. We also have a separate autoclave that oils and cleans the hand pieces to prolong their life before they undergo the steaming sterilization process. Each of our operatories uses water supplies through “positive pressure’, so it can’t get sucked back into the system once it’s piped through to a patient.
Most importantly, we follow and exceed all professional, state, and federal guidelines for sterilization and safety in our practice.

Technology and Your Comfort
We also use the latest technology available to keep you comfortable during your appointments. In fact, there are so many options for relaxing and being entertained that you may forget you're at the dentist! Our high resolution monitors are great for watching TV or a movie. We also have Walkman or personal CD players so you can listen to music. Because your comfort is important to us, we offer nitrous oxide, oral medications, and IV sedation for anxious patients. And, do not be surprised to hear from us at home after your treatment so that we may answer any questions you may have and to make sure you are doing well. We’re always on the lookout for ways to make your visit comfortable and stress-free. If there's anything else we can do during your appointment, just ask.
